One High School, Infinite Possibilities

Professors & Students

• 7 hours of lessons per day, from Monday to Friday, with school hours: 8.10am-2.40pm for 35 lessons per week (except for the scientific sports high school with a few hours less to allow for the harmonization of study and sport and the STEAM research laboratories);
• Two long breaks with the possibility to “stop” and socialise using the bar and the campus park;
• Optional internal canteen;
• Channel school: students divided by channels and not by sections. Spaces and times shared with students from other high school courses for an interdisciplinary and community education;
• Full professor-associate professor duo and departmental work among professors for a research community;
• Class and individual tutoring for all students (the personal tutor is
identified by the school in the two-year period and chosen by the students in the three-year period);
• Orientation and education on choices;

Chemistry

•Personalization of the study path with the introduction of some optional courses, especially in the three-year period;
•University preparation courses during school hours;
•Laboratory and experiential teaching and real-life tasks;
•Digital teaching: an iPad for each student, computer and multimedia labs;
•Language certifications;
•Physics, chemistry, biology, earth science, computer science and STEAM laboratories, a classroom equipped for technical-artistic drawing and multimedia study of art history;
•Volunteer school (in the two-year period);
•Paths for transversal skills and orientation (PCTO) with particular attention to volunteering and the third sector;

• Animation and spiritual accompaniment: conversations with a father
spiritual, retreats in important times, kairos, spiritual exercises of maturity, celebrations of the sacraments, sharing group; Eucharistic Youth Movement (MEG);
• Winter and summer missionary experiences with the Student Missionary League (LMS): Romania, Kenya;
• Participation in seminars, conferences, competitions and cultural initiatives (local, national and international) in the historical, legal, literary, artistic, philosophical, religious and musical fields: Colloqui Fiorentini, Mathematics Olympiad, Diamoci Un Tono Music Competition, Debates Tournament;
• Psychopedagogy service;
• Symposia: a week in which we experience school in a different way, doing educational activities that help us discover ourselves and the world around us;
• National and international exchanges and twinning;

Professor

• Experiences abroad (summer, quarterly, annual: in England, USA and other places, networking with Jesuit schools around the world);
• Environments that can be lived in even outside of school hours (study rooms, lounges for sharing moments or group work);
• Afternoon teaching desks: a time dedicated to study and
to further study accompanied by a teacher;
• Thematic afternoon clubs: opportunities designed by students to follow their own cultural and artistic passion (design, photography, creative writing, ecology, robotics, political café, sports bar);
• Sports facilities for activities during school hours but also after school, thanks to the rich offer of Polisportiva Gonzaga;
• Prestigious central library (with a notable collection of ancient and modern books), “diffused” library (the book heritage also lives inside the school in rooms and corridors to get closer to the lives of the children) and digital library.

The new High School of Human Sciences

The curriculum of the New High School of Human Sciences of the Gonzaga Campus offers an innovative and flexible educational path, which combines the study of the humanities with a modern and future-oriented approach. The two-year period introduces students to educational, social and cultural dynamics, promoting critical reflection and active citizenship. The three-year period broadens horizons through optional courses and experiential workshops that range from geopolitics to health and well-being, from Mediterranean languages and cultures to social research projects.

Classic

The Liceo Classico curriculum offers a rich and varied educational path, which combines the study of traditional humanistic disciplines with the introduction of modern and optional subjects. The two-year period focuses on linguistic and cultural foundations, while the three-year period broadens the horizon with disciplines such as philosophy, geopolitics and scientific laboratories, allowing students to personalize their curriculum in view of their future orientation.

The curriculum of the Liceo Scientifico integrates academic excellence and didactic innovation, placing the critical and scientific education of the student at the center. The two-year period provides a solid foundation in the fundamental disciplines, accompanying students in the discovery of the scientific method and interdisciplinary connections. The three-year period, on the other hand, delves into areas such as logic, geopolitics and applied sciences, offering personalized paths to develop transversal skills. A stimulating environment and laboratory activities complete a path that prepares for university and professional challenges.

The STEAM Scientific High School curriculum integrates scientific and technological disciplines with art and design, offering an innovative and interdisciplinary educational path. The two-year period lays the foundations of the STEAM method with a focus on science, mathematics, computer science and English, while the three-year period broadens the educational horizon with disciplines such as philosophy of science, geopolitics and design. Thanks to research laboratories and collaboration with academic and scientific institutions, students develop practical and reflective skills oriented towards the future.

Sports Science

The curriculum of the Liceo Scientifico Sportivo promotes a synergy between academic excellence and sports practice, enhancing the integral growth of the student. The two-year period introduces the basics of scientific and sports disciplines, while the three-year period delves into specific areas such as sports law and economics, health and well-being, and geopolitics. Thanks to the sports tutor and the Personalized Training Plans, students can reconcile training and competitions with a flexible school path. The curriculum is enriched by optional courses and interdisciplinary activities for a complete education.
