Wednesday, November 12th meeting at the Gonzaga Campus.

As a community at the Gonzaga Campus, we felt challenged by what was happening in Palestine. Our students themselves often urged us not to forget what was happening in the world, and we, who believe that education also involves the ability to attentively and thoughtfully observe what was happening in the world, immediately took action as an educational institution (with the young students living in that land in mind).
We want to tell you what we've done and what we plan to do to bring signs of hope within our reach.
For this reason, we invite you to participate in the meeting entitled:
"Palestine Beyond the Truce. The Plight of a People Calls to Us"
The meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at 6:30 PM, in the San Giuseppe Chapel.
It will be a time of listening and reflection, during which we will have the opportunity to welcome the testimonies of Prof. Aron Allegra , a teacher at our Campus, and Fr. Francesco Cavallini SJ , a Jesuit.
Both, at different times and in different ways, traveled to Palestine to experience firsthand the reality of a people who continue to experience profound suffering, even in this time of apparent "truce."
Their firsthand experiences will help us understand what is really happening and ask ourselves what our contribution as an educational community can be.
The meeting will also be an opportunity to discuss possible concrete initiatives—such as twinning with schools in the Palestinian territory—to continue building bridges of peace and solidarity in the wake of the testimonies received.
