International Curriculum and IB Educational Continuity

The ISP High School stands out for its educational offer fully integrated into the IB framework, with a seamless transition from the Middle Years Programme (MYP) to the Diploma Programme (DP). This guarantees students a methodological and conceptual continuity that allows them to consolidate skills, deepen critical awareness and face the two-year pre-university period with solid and coherent preparation. The path combines academic rigor and educational flexibility, preparing students to successfully access Italian and international universities.

Transversal skills and critical thinking as a foundation

Through inquiry-based teaching, the program encourages active and reflective learning, guiding students in the development of transversal skills: analysis, problem-solving, collaboration, time management and effective communication. Great attention is paid to the construction of critical thinking and the ability to connect knowledge with real contexts, forming individuals capable of questioning, evaluating complex information and making informed decisions in a responsible and autonomous way.

Global Citizenship Education and Personal Engagement

At the heart of the IB proposal is a vision of education that goes beyond academic performance: the student is accompanied in becoming a global citizen, aware, open to diversity, empathetic and engaged. CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service) activities and interdisciplinary projects foster civic sense and spirit of service, helping students to recognize their impact on the local and global community and to build an ethical and participatory identity.

Individualized support and excellent university orientation

Each student is followed in a personalized way by an international teaching team that is attentive to both academic performance and personal well-being. University orientation is an integral part of the High School path: through dedicated meetings, simulations, preparation for international tests and support in choosing universities, students become aware of their inclinations and future goals. The rate of access to international universities is very high, with destinations in Europe, the United Kingdom, the USA and beyond.

Admission

You can enter the High School - Gonzaga International High School - ISP:

after the third year of middle school in Italy for all four years, consisting of two two-year periods; the first two-year period consists of the two years of the Middle Years Programme (MYP).
after the third year of high school in Italian schools, with two years left to go, for the two-year Diploma Programme (DP) only.

Requirements:

Fundamental to admission is a level of English language that allows students to confidently and profitably face a challenging course of study in which the language of instruction is English. To this end, we offer English courses to those who wish to enroll at ISP and improve their language skills.

The Sections

MYP – M4 and M5 (14–16 years old)

The two-year MYP (M4–M5) represents the final phase of the Middle Years Programme and prepares students for greater autonomy in their studies, a more mature approach to knowledge and the strengthening of their academic and personal identity. The contents proposed are based on a solid interdisciplinary structure, aimed at building connections between disciplines and real contexts. Students learn to work critically and independently, developing research, reflection and collaboration skills. The programme is completed with personal projects and IB assessments according to international standards, creating the ideal foundations for successfully tackling the Diploma Programme.

DP – DP1 and DP2 (16–18 years old)

The Diploma Programme is the culmination of the IB curriculum and one of the most recognised pre-university programmes in the world. Students select six subjects from a range of fields, studying three at Higher Level and three at Standard Level. This is complemented by three key pillars: Theory of Knowledge (TOK), which develops reflection on what it means to “know”; the Extended Essay, an individual academic research project; and CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service) activities, which complement personal and social development. The entire programme is designed to develop intellectual rigor, autonomy, global awareness and preparation for university and career challenges. The ISP DP takes place in an international and stimulating environment, with the continuous support of tutors and counsellors.

On Site Canteen Service & Bar

Gonzaga Campus offers an internal cafeteria-bar service that guarantees MYP and DYP students a healthy, balanced diet suited to their growth needs. The cafeteria offers meals carefully prepared daily, with attention to the quality of the ingredients, the variety of the menu and any specific dietary needs. Next to the cafeteria, there is also an internal bar, designed as a convivial and safe space for students, where it is possible to consume selected snacks, drinks and snacks in a calm and supervised atmosphere. The cafeteria-bar service helps create a harmonious and complete school routine, strengthening the sense of community within the campus.

School Uniforms

The Gonzaga Store is the go-to place for custom school apparel on campus. Here, students can find high-quality school uniforms designed for comfort and convenience, while respecting the identity and spirit of the educational community.

Through the Gonzaga Store, the school promotes a sense of belonging and representation, providing garments that are carefully detailed and suited to the needs of students.

School Psychology Service

Within our Campus, the school psychology service is present and active.

The psychologists, experts in the different age groups present in the school, provide 360° support and collaborate with the Institute Management, with the teachers and with the families to guarantee support and guidance for the specific needs of each individual.

Library

The Gonzaga Campus library is a valuable space available to MYP and DYP students. In addition to offering a quiet environment for reading and studying, the library houses a vast collection of modern books and educational resources useful for deepening the topics covered in class. Students can access volumes in Italian, English and Spanish, useful for interdisciplinary research and IB projects. Direct contact with original texts, together with the possibility of consulting digitalized materials from the prestigious Fondo Librario Antico, stimulates curiosity, critical thinking and the pleasure of knowledge.

Artistic and creative activities

Students can participate in afternoon clubs that encourage creativity and self-expression. These activities include visual arts, music, and drama workshops, allowing students to explore different art forms and express their emotions and ideas in a constructive way.

Sports activities

The campus offers a wide range of sports activities, including football, volleyball, basketball and gymnastics. These activities not only promote physical health, but also values such as teamwork, discipline and perseverance.

Global Citizenship and Volunteering Projects

Extracurricular activities also include projects that promote active citizenship and social responsibility. Students have the opportunity to participate in volunteer initiatives and programs that raise awareness of global issues, encouraging them to become aware and engaged citizens.

These activities are designed to integrate and enrich the school curriculum, offering Middle School students a dynamic and stimulating environment that fosters the integral development of the person, in line with the educational values of the Gonzaga Campus.

Middle Years Programme

The first two years of High School involve the completion of the MYP program. Subjects are approached in an interdisciplinary manner to bring each student to have a holistic vision. Through this method of learning, students develop transversal skills that help them deal with the changes that today's world is constantly undergoing. The educational program includes academic rigor and emphasizes the importance of intentionality. The skills that students develop, which include knowledge, analysis and critical thinking, are guided by interdisciplinary concepts that encourage them to form complete people who have an active role in the world.

Diploma Programme

The DP aims to train students who acquire both broad and profound knowledge, who master at least two languages, who obtain excellent results in traditional subjects and, above all, reach a high level of physical, emotional and moral maturity. For this reason, many schools of the Society of Jesus in the world adopt this program, recognizing in it the objectives of integral formation of the person of the global citizen that are the foundations of Ignatian pedagogy.

The DP offers the scientific and humanistic tracks, whose qualifications correspond, for Italian law and in Italy, respectively to the high school diploma in science and to the high school diploma in human sciences. The curriculum of each track consists of three subjects at the "higher" level and three subjects at the "standard" level, plus two hours of TOK and three hours of CAS, which are an integral and mandatory part of it. In addition, there are moments of research and individual study, "Free Study Period", also aimed at preparing the Extended Essay.
