The scholarships in memory of Carlo Acutis and Piergiorgio Frassati from the Jesuit Education Foundation

PALERMO – At the center are deserving young people who, in situations of socioeconomic vulnerability , wish to study according to the vision of the Jesuit educational project . A broad vision that harmoniously combines theoretical and practical study , also articulated through voluntary commitment in various social organizations in the area.
The three one-year scholarships , " In Memory of Carlo and Piergiorgio ," will cover the full cost of tuition at the Gonzaga Campus . The scholarships are aimed at deserving young people who intend to enroll in the first year of middle school and high school at the International School Palermo for the 2026/2027 academic year , as well as the first year of middle school and high school .

In particular, the announcement provides for: 2 scholarships for male and female students who intend to enroll in the first year of the Gonzaga Campus Lyceum or High School ; 1 scholarship for young people who intend to enroll in the first year of the Gonzaga Campus secondary school or at Middle School .
The call is issued in honor of Saints Carlo Acutis and Piergiorgio Frassati: young alumni, recently canonized by Pope Leo on the occasion of the Jubilee, whose witness continues to inspire the Jesuits' commitment to education in the service of new generations. Carlo Acutis , a brilliant student in computer science, attended the Leone XIII Institute and became the Catholic Church's first millennial saint . Pier Giorgio Frassati, known for his dedication to the poor and to the spiritual life, was a former student of the Istituto Sociale in Turin.
"Our desire," says Fr. Vitangelo Denora, the general director of the Gonzaga campus, " is to reach out, in particular, to those families who, despite having limited economic resources, strongly desire to offer their children an educational program that aims to combine academic and human excellence, in accordance with the tradition of our Ignatian pedagogy ."

The rankings will be prepared by a commission appointed by the Jesuit Education Foundation and will be published by January 15, 2026 .
