The Gonzaga Campus Nido is a nursery in Palermo designed to offer children aged 6 months to 2 years a safe, stimulating environment with personalized attention.

Here, every child is considered a developing individual, with unique needs to be respected and valued.

The educational approach is based on Ignatian pedagogy and personalized care , with an educational model focused on bringing out the child's identity and autonomy, in ongoing collaboration with the family.

An educational model centered on play and sensory experiences

Learning occurs through play and is structured into different areas of experience :

  • Corporeality: perceptive and motor activities to discover the body and the environment

  • Communication: linguistic and emotional expression to develop language and listening skills

  • Environment: explorations to learn and live in harmony with the natural context

  • Socialization and affectivity: significant relationships with educators and peers

Thanks to this model, every child can learn to relate, express themselves and grow peacefully, feeling welcomed and supported.

Spaces designed to educate and welcome

The nursery is spread over a single accessible floor, with bright rooms and functional areas designed to be child-friendly:

  • Welcome area to start the day in peace

  • Feeding room and internal canteen with balanced meals

  • Play area divided into thematic corners

  • Quiet rest area for afternoon relaxation

  • Gym and teaching area for recreational and educational activities

  • Green areas and a teaching garden (4,600 m2) for outdoor learning and ecological education

Two sections to respond to the different growth stages

The nursery is organized into two sections, to specifically respond to the needs of the various age groups:

  • Snails (6-11 months): Sensory and motor activities for toddlers

  • Baby turtles (12-18 months): experiences of exploration, relationships and symbolic play
